The tame dragon decided, for reasons best known to itself, to go for a swim in the magma pipe. It died in the heat. Submitted by: Ambivalence - 12 hours ago |

As you can see from the scattered bones, a mighty battle took place here against the skeletal creatures who inhabit the river. "Stabby", the legendary champion who'd defeated a dragon and a titan in single combat sprinted past his compatriots (who were firing their crossbows at the enemy) and dived into the river like Beowulf on PCP. He smashed apart a dozen undead before remembering that he needed to breathe... ...and that was the end of him. Submitted by: Ambivalence - 12 hours ago |

The four waterwheels here power mills on the level above (currently unused due to, ah, "problems" with the food stockpiling situation; I ended up having to dump thousands of plants into the trash...) and are also connected to the pumps which flood the large room north of the living quarters. I wasn't sure that three pumps would be enough to flood such a large space, but they did it no problem (although the river was drained almost to the riverbed near the pumps.) I was digging out the channels, and couldn't resist the opportunity to mine out each and every seam I ran into, which resulted in the peculiar shapes. Submitted by: Ambivalence - 12 hours ago |

This isn't finished yet, but it's coming along nicely. There was a slight accident with the southwest corner of the magma moat, but fortunately it sealed itself when it ran into the water moat. Submitted by: Ambivalence - 12 hours ago |

This shaft was made for a controlled drop of a stone block to the magma channel below. I had to cut the magma after I realized that the original magma pool beneath the forges was too big; it wouldn't fill up. So I cut the magma, added a wall, and presto. Submitted by: Nahkh_ - 17 hours ago |

These channels were added after invaders stood in the dead angle, safely out of siege engine reach. I plan to eventually add a bridge there to let me charge the invaders, or maybe let loose some dogs. Submitted by: Nahkh_ - 17 hours ago |
