Searseal - 308 by RAM

Map Description:

Being new to the game, I am experimenting with faster methods of mining. I figure that if I can drop a chunk of rock far enough it might be reduced to rubble...

"Pull the lever"...

Fully expecting these to be my last words, I carefully evacuate the area and then pull out the support, and... nothing happens...

I had one corner in the bottom right corner, two corners touching shouldn't support anything, and I have mined it out, so now, as far as I can tell, it is just levitating...

Oh, while I'm here, does anyone have any thoughts on the fortress, I am trying to develop new and exciting forms of cave adaptation, it was a real trial working without water, but I finally found some good dwarven subterranean water and it feels so good to have evaded that filthy surface stuff...

Did you turn cave ins off in your init file?

Good idea, I had to go back and check, but it seems that
[CAVEINS:YES]

I mined the bottom level, I mined the top level, I channelled the sides, it should collapse, right?

Turns out I missed a spot, on the 9th level, must have checked it a dozen times...

Still, any comments are welcome
