Oh, I'm sure some nice explorers with loot from somewhere else took a nice visit to the 'abandoned' cave and gave them to the spider.

Eh; the spot is very particular... Nice, flat, woody, with lots of magnetite (I suppose; limestone usually does) to make steel, and sand. I could continue to simply build the railroad, but I'd need to hack the points so I could bring steel or I would have to take forever importing it all. I suppose it would amuse me until the next release, though.

That's a pool. Pipes go all the way down, I believe.

Unless I'm mistaken, the reason there is water on aquifer bug is that that sand tile is an aquifer; ALL aquifer tiles create water, regardless if they are connected to more aquifer tiles. If you dig out the tile the water can probably be pumped out...

Wtf do they do during sparring sessions...
On another note, I always enjoy well designed constructions on the surface world; yours are very nice, particularly the wall. Thick layers of wall just look darned nice. Congratulations on taking the initiative to make tall buildings as well.

Verry nice sleeping quarters. I enjoy the use of stairs most prominently. On another note, it appears wagons are currently unable to access your trading depot (unless I am mistaken)! Ramps need a wall bordering them on the side which you want users to end up on. I would suggest building a wall one tile north of each ramp.

Nice. Multicolored stones is one of the things I hate in my fortress, so glad to see you've taken the ambition to shake things up. Also, glad to see your plan worked out so well.

Soldiers will shoot carp if you set their squad to 'harass dangerous animals'. Also, I'm not sure if humans will equip bows, but I've not modded the game to play them in quite a while.

Could make a mighty high tower from the bottom level.
Sad about the lack of glass, though. Glass is very nice with water, yes it is.
