I'm hoping to find either some pits (Pretty sure there's adamantite in the upper right, but I forget the location for the most part), somehow utilizing the properties of magma to produce steam, not obsidian to destroy the excess water, or finding a bottomless pit/cavern.

So I lost 9 years or so due to my habit of having many many many copies of DF on my computer at one time, I really should just condense them into a single area.

Anyways, all that's missing is that the main housing area is only 60% engraved or so, The Royal Housing unit is not even started, the jail is about 60% the size of what it is here, and the scaffolding is still up for the most part...just realized that it's the same as the previous map update...I suppose I can use this as what to do to catch up though :D

"A luxury dungeon means very happy prisoners." I think that about sums up this work of art. Inky is clearly a very talented individual and we're lucky he chose DF as his medium / canvas to share his craft with us.

Don't think so, or at least they haven't complained yet.

The tree farm works, yeah I factored in a little extra. Right now there's a good 50 trees growing hehe.

Odd, all granite doors appear as engraved empty granite floors. Anyways, that's what those are.

Awesome kitty killer design, I was just wondering about such a system since I recently discovered a cave...after living in my fortress for 25 years...massive web though, it's not giant, just 25 years worth of tiny spiders working.

Tower caps require ground to be muddied, best way to do this is the divert some water to the area. Not all is lost though, you could easily designate your current places as ponds, if you have enough dwarves and buckets that should muddy the ground enough to get some trees growing. Guess I'll upload my fortress in a sec, named Fountaintomb btw.

I probably could, I'll look into just how to do it.

I've been delayed slightly by two exams and a major paper I have to write. I would say 70% of the outer wall is up, the pumps drain my FPS faster than they drain the ocean so it's taking a while.

Yeah hehe, I mentioned that on the forum post.

There's nothing there really, it's just open water...well now it's a largely water-free plateau :D

Huge delay, my computer finally died. My vista laptop will arrive on april 11th, hopefully I'll find a way to transfer the save. Oh, and I don't have the migration cable. Hopefully it will all work out ok, but for now the map is on hold.

Nope, the 1 farm plot is just for plump helmets. I have my population limited to 100, so I actually have a surplus with just the one plot. That and 45 of them are farmers hehe.

Currently have 10641 food stocks, obviously trade helps a ton though, I always buy out all the meat and alcohol they have.

Although elf-meat is quite tasty, especially with a nice hollandaise sauce.

Oh, so yeah my dwarves are involuntarily becoming nudists, but the jails take care of the tantrums :D

I plan to grow a ton of hide root and pig tail, then once all the cloth is dyed and ready I'll outfit my entire fortress with new clothes.

Ah thanks :D
I'm very proud of it so far.

Anyways I bet I encoded it wrong since I had to use the java version. My computer died and someone stole my windows disks so I had to install linux.

Luckily I had my fort saved on a USB flash drive :D
