Clear glass might be used in some areas, but unless I can import Rock Crystals, crystal glass won't be.

And Flok has the right idea, I intend to expand the lake-bed where needed so allow for further underwater "expansion" - I believe the lake already gets filled up from the South and East map edges, but I haven't confirmed that yet.

I hope you made wild dwarves to terrorise them!

Nah - I think Godhelms refers to the staple food diet of the dwarves.
Ambrosia? pfft - that's for elves. We eat GodHelms!

Goblins tend to either live in burrows and dens or towers, depending on the mythos, so either a rough shod cave structure with a few large rooms connected by snaking corridors, or vertical towers would suit.

Great - this gives an excuse to generate a dozen different worlds then!

This is only a temporary issue. All dwarven accommodation will be moved to a new keep where the nobles are temporarily housed. The nobles will move further north, and we'll make an area for the True Nobility even further north than that.

Kirby: By making the bridge out of many (*many*) 1x1 bridges of different material you can make the pattern yourself.

Ah! I'd just fired off an email to you about whether you could add [POI=] - I guess you already have! Thanks!

I'm not artificially keeping the numbers down - I guess the dwarves just don't really like glass that much.

It might be because I only produce enough craft goods to buy what I want from the traders, rather than stockpiling tons like most people. I should investigate that in a different fort.

I really like the, what appears to be, a church to the upper-right of the fortress. At first I thought it was a tomb, and then I realised there were statues, not coffins.

Ah, quotes in mapnames don't work so well. I'd suggest replacing them with backticks : `Like This`
or, with parenthesis (Like This)

It's been good fun so far - the main 'problem' is that development of everything is so slow because you have to make Charcoal and Sand before you can craft anything!

That moat puts everything I've ever done to shame! Lovely work.

Digging straight for the river. Rudimentary things have been made out of stone / wood to keep the dwarves alive until glass production is finished.

Ah, such is life - I'll upload another image to this, but my dwarves started starving later in this fort due to mismanagement. Learn something new each day, in this case that not everything under "Other" is edible....

I'm curious about the history pillars. How are they made, and how do you engrave them? Are they just supports or is there something more to it?
