And the steel-spear that one of my recruits held was the only reason that he survived: had his weapon been less effective, he would most likely have fallen along with his squadmates. |

Connected magma pump - not infinite
Here I have a magma pump which has its output connected to its input tile. Veryinky had suggested that this was how to generate infinite magma, but it isn't working. Initially, this pump was operating in isolation. Later I activated a pump on top of it, which is (sort of) operating (but not really because its output tile is only one tile) when this movie was taken.
While this pump was operating, rather than creating infinite magma, it was in fact slowly destroying the magma in the top layer of the magma vent / volcano, which was rather not a good thing. I recorded a much longer movie, but it wouldn't upload due to being about 4 times larger than the upload limit. This one is just large enough to point out all the pieces of the pump and what's around it and such.
