Fortress: Sparkgear 4 | _nil_
Holds the new jails, which are in the portion that goes above ground for maximum unpleasentness, some bedrooms for members of the watch (currently rented out to the public since no one in fortress guard is legendary) and Captain Nil's personal quarters down in the bottom. Dwarven justice is now fully functional in Sparkgear (just had a hammering even), which should help reduce the risk of a catastrophic tantrum spiral. Hopefully. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-06 |

Since the bedrooms on the lower levels are fit only for the rich and the legendary, Sparkgears lower classes have carved out some shantytunnels in the wall of the old chamber. The views of the strange and mysterious construction in the center of this giant chamber help to keep land values low. There is a smaller community on north wall. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-06 |

Pull the lever by the entrance to this construction and the bridge will open, sacrificing anything on it to the magma gods. I prefer to use this instead of just chasming stuff directly since I lets me make sure I don't toss anything I don't need. There is a TON of stone on there right now, whoever is next should go ahead and drop it. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-06 |

I had to cannibalize some of the wood from these axles for artifacts. A caravan from the mountainhome should be coming soon with plenty of wood, be sure to use some of it to fix this back up. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-06 |

In case the main entrance is ever clogged with magma when a caravan needs to get through this can serve as an alternative entrance. All the bridges are hooked up to labeled levers in the control/statue room, with all the big ones being hooked up to a single lever. Marksdwarves will be very effective here, and you can drop enemies to their deaths pretty easily with the right timing. Notice you can also see the squad of humans here, tried to kill them but they only seem to be attacking when they see a dwarf outside so it was tricky to draw them in to either entrance without getting guys killed. Right now the magma cannon is a little slow and doesn't have much area, I only killed a since orc with it. If you don't use the floodgates, abandon and empty the pillboxes (you don't want to loose all the bone bolts in there) and make some sort of blockage and/or drainage for the secondary entrance path it may be more effective, although it probably needs some sort of reservoir as well. Fortress: Raptor Fortress | _nil_
Still needs a little work done, but when finished will connect Raptorfortress to traders and possibly migrants while only the luckiest enemies will be able to access. Defenses include the drawbridges on the highest level, which are hooked up to a single lever, and extensive fortifications. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-17 |

Access shaft for the western terminus of the highway This should be walled off after the highway is complete, or otherwise as soon as possible. For now it guarded by a groundhog. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-17 |

Lever on the left controls the westernmost drawbridge and access to the highway from outside the fort, lever on the left opens the drawbridges on the top level of the highway, almost certainly killing anything on them. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-17 |

I reserved the nice rooms here for former and current rulers. Right now we need more middle class housing, although the smaller bedrooms here will be good for when the economy starts. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-17 |

Shouldn't be too hard to kill whole squads of raptors here as long as you aren't too late in pulling the lever. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-17 |

Unfortunately the only aboveground crop we have more than a few seeds for is rat weed, but even that should stop some of the bad thoughts we've been getting from all the food being the same. Submitted by: _nil_ - 2009-08-17 |
