Skullgrass - 267 Late Autumn by EmeraldWind

Map Description:

This is my second successful fortress out of five.

Skullgrass was a typical fort. Started by seven dwarves from the Mechanism of Conquerors. The dwarves decided to embark in the year 251 after the last (and only) dragon was slain. The group called themselves Diamond the Perfect Rainbow due to the fact the initial seven dwarves were each named after the seven colors in the Rainbow. Most of the dwarves worship the diety, Dakas. A god of rain and appropriately enough rainbows.

Point of Interest: Welcome to Skullgrass

( 267 → onwards )

When anyone, whether man, dwarf, elf, or otherwise arrives at Skullgrass, they must enter here. Anyone may cross these bridges and enter the tower in the middle of the dwarf-made lake, we do not discriminate here in Skullgrass. (However our traps do.) Currently, we are working on a Silver Block Road for travelers to follow here and it will be completed as soon as the Wood Cutters remember how to USE THEIR AXES. - EmeraldWind

I admire how you created an artificial lake to flood around the entrance to your fort :)

Thanks, Markavian.

Like I say here and there, after I found my embark wagon at the bottom of the ditch... I decided right there and then I wanted the entrance of my fort to eventually become what it has. It took a good bit of work and much Fun was had. I learned some things the wiki doesn't yet explain... for example, stairs stop water pressure and I had to wait until a couple winters later to fix the problems that came up because of that. But like I said, twas Fun.
