The winter of 105 was the worst yet. The dwarves abandoned the surface outpost in preparation to move to the underground, and the early autumn freeze caught them with half their supplies still above ground, and the excessive hauling interrupted the fall harvest, leaving very little food and drink below ground. A butchered llama that had been around since the first year, and roasted plump helmet spawn is all that's keeping the population fed.
In slightly better news, the first child of the fortress was born to Etur Tongsdrummed, for which he was granted the title of Patriach.
