Perpetual lava that reflects off whatever it touches. It's extremely bugged and refuses to burn things alive like pet cows and cats. Can't seem to build a steel bridge over the magma chanenls either.

To build over channels you must first flood them with water. Water destroys the 'channel' building leaving a 'channel tile' behind. You can check for it using [k], if it says 'Channel' twice in the stack then you can't bridge it, with anything. Otherwise, you can bridge magma channels with stone or wood or whatever really.
