And so the survival cave has become a survival fort. Come the zombie apocalypse, my dorfs now have a place to hide indefinitely.

Not that that's a tempting proposition, but it's nice to have a BATNA.

Still contemplating the greater fortress. I'm hoping to get that somewhat established before the current tunnels become too overcrowded.

Since last update, more thieves than I care to count (mostly kobold) and one weredeer who killed our other beast of burden (a two humped camel) before fleeing. Darned lycanthrope, stealing our meat!

Is that something you get from legends mode?

I think it's something you exported when genning the world. There's a notepad file in the root directory called history and populations regionx

A very interesting god list indeed. I think I've never seen that special one before. I like the volcano tunnel road.
