I've managed to fill the moat, although, it's too full at the moment, and I'm slowly draining some out into my sewer. I'm hoping that if I keep my moat at roughly 4 - 5 depth on the z below, then enemies can't swim past my defenses. I'm not sure if it'll work that way yet, though, since sieges haven't gotten that close to my entrance yet. I've finally managed to upgrade my ballistas to masterpiece quality. - ColdSnickersBar

Very nice defense, cool arena. Have you ever accidentally hit anyone with the training catapults?

Apparently, siege weapons don't have any effect on lower z levels, so no one has ever been hit by them - friend or foe.
At least marksdwarves can shoot down z levels, though.

I enjoy this fortress very much and find many things really amusing. If i could visit yours, i would.
I also found out the hard way catapults don't affect anything on other Z levels.

Great detail, the moat is very well constructed, and the gladiator pit is a work of art.
