Ballwhipped - 1074 Mid Spring by Michilus

Map Description:

My biggest, and imho prettiest fortress yet.
The piece de resistance is the golden mist machine, powered by a water wheel in the center of the map. The original plan was to use logic gates to control the water pressure with a network of canals and floodgates to make an easily extensible water supply, but I simply didn't have enough options to power the logic gates.

The fortress currently houses 179 dwarves. I lost about 10 dwarves due to a badly timed trade mandate from the baron consort, and the baron consort, who unfortunately drowned during the grand opening of the golden mist machine.

The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.

There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check the Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is outside the bounds of the DataView. Feel free to report a problem with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

You can download the compressed map file: 2008-09/michilus-Ballwhipped-region1-1074-5453.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
