Treatychances - 203 Mid Summer by Phlamethrower

Map Description:

Journal entry of Likot Dègzulban, Captain of the Guard. 3rd Captain of the Guard.

All hope is lost.

Dwarves came. Too many dwarves. We ran out of booze during the winter. Although we secured ample supplies of fresh fruit and berries from the elven caravan that arrived in the spring, it was too late for some of the dwarves.

Death led to depression. Depression led to mood swings. Mood swings led to rioting. Rioting led to bloodshed.

At least two dozen lives have been lost these past two seasons, including Dastot, our first Mayor, and Shem Mûthkatromlam, his successor. The first two Captains of the Guard, Zefon Dîshmabsuvas and Thob Sárekurist, also lost their sanity, and their lives.

And yet there is still more death to come.

We now have ample food and drink, but only the strong of body and mind will survive this year. I can only pray that I am one of them.

Point of Interest: Corpses

The rate of death has far outreached the rate at which we are able to produce coffins. Corpses are left to rot in a heap inside the tower walls. - Phlamethrower

If you intend the tower to be that wide, it'll look more like a squat warehouse than a tower. I found that with the several stupidly large towers I build. Unless they are very narrow (Like 10 or so tiles along each side) it looks like a cube rather than a tower D:

Well, dwarves are quite short. It will look like a tall tower to them :)
