(looking at your flooding entrance) You could have a bunch of pumps running 24/7 behind wall-grates and flood-gates. This would make sure you don't trap yourself in on accident.
Also, putting wall grates in front of your flood-gates makes it so that the goblin clothing doesn't get sucked out of the hallway when you drain the entrance. It's happened to me before. (my 2 cents...)
