Ceroludil - "Lenslantern" - 204 Early Winter by Myroc

Map Description:

One of my most successful forts, complete with brook, underground river, chasm, HFS and a little sand in the upper left corner. No magma though.

Point of Interest: Entrance and Depot

This is the grand entrance, design blatantly stolen from another fort which name i have forgotten. The lever in the bottom right corner controls both bridges. - Myroc

Heh, nice fortress. Not the best i've seen but it's good that you're planning ahead. I especially like the idea of a library, theres just something about it =D.

like youre entrance because its not one you see every day.

Δ 16. Statue Garden
The only meeting area, above ground complete with parties going on almost every second. I interrupt them once in a while if i need something done moderately quickly. - Myroc

Δ 15. Watch Tower
No soldiers come here anyway, so it's mostly for decoration. The door in is locked, to avoid Fun goblins in the wrong place. - Myroc
Δ 14. Quarters
This place houses all the people (except for the incoming Adamantine King). The north room is for my main noble (Expedition leader, broker, organizer, bookkeeper, and Sheriff), and the south room is where all my artifacts go. - Myroc
Δ 14. Slight architectal error
Luckily i discovered this before i flooded my moat. - Myroc
Δ 13. Workshop Level
Here goes all my workshops, this area will soon be smoothed. The empty room to the left (stones don't count) will become a cloth/leather stockpile. The east room is my finished goods pile.

I was lucky enough to have my first artifact make one of my guys a legendary stonecrafter, so now i can buy out entire caravans if i want. (But i don't want a surplus of pig tail socks or cave spider silk thongs.) - Myroc
Δ 12. Food level
Single large stockpile in the middle, and a somewhat fancy dining room to the south-east. I'm considering adding another one to the north-west. - Myroc
Δ 11. Tombs
Everyone who dies goes here. Luckily, no one has yet. - Myroc
Δ 10. King's level
This is where my king (who will soon come because i have dug up adamantine) will eat, sleep, work and die, as soon as he arrives. The bedroom is legendary on it's own, the office have an adamantine throne, the dining room an artifact rose gold animal trap, and the tomb has an artifact armor stand. - Myroc
Δ 9. Dwarven Library
Also an idea taken from another fortress, here the dwarves record various pieces of history and other minor books, such as "How to serve cat" or "The history of Lenslantern". - Myroc
Δ 9. Tower-cap farm
I have never grown tower-caps before so i expected them to grow more furiously. (So far i've chopped down six over the course of a single year.) This will eventually be expanded. - Myroc
