The Steel-Castle of Fires - 107 Early Spring by Dorten

Map Description:

Another long year.
This one featured
A dramatic siege, which killed all my elite forces.
A dramatic flood, which could ruin my magma moat
A dramatic lack of coal to make steel

Very dramatic year, indeed.

PS: it's the most gem-rich fort I had for now. I have tens of Sapphires and Rubies and Faint yellow diamonds! No Rare ones, though.

Point of Interest: The tomb of heroes

( 107 Early Spring → onwards )

There lye The Seven Heroes, who saved the fort from deadly goblin siege.

Center, biggest tomb, belongs to brave Oslanegast Gutid Zursul - Captain of the fortress guard, and one of the seven founders. Legendary axedwarf.

Three smaller tombs belong to Ozkakmörul the SpearMaster, Odshithudil the Hammer Lord and KuletLektad the Mace Lord.

Two smallest tombs belong to Iklisturvad the Axedwarf and Össektun the Swodsdwarf.

May their honorable deaths be never forgotten! - Dorten

Hahaha, you have a magma vent running straight through a bauxite cluster on level 13.

Nice map, by the way. Any magnetite? Or is it just hematite?

Any magnetite? FIVE clusters of it!

That's why I picked this map for a steel castle

This truly is a steel fortress, nice. I also like the not overly diagonal (but still able to have diagonal walls) tileset, what is it if i may ask?

It's on the wiki. Under my name even.
