Δ 18. Durins Tower
This is the only pass over the mountain for all that come from the west side of the map.
Here i'm building the great tower of Durin (the name of my died Queen Durin I.), which will become a big fortress-tower, high over the rest of the other halls...
It is linked with 2 stairways, that reach from the flaming deeps on the lowest level to the highest (until i dig out the Foundation of Stone, around HFS (demon pit)...
Maybe a human wizard could fight his way up to the tower with the demons down there? - Daryan
Δ 15. Entrance
First the Entrance, should be guarded by some doorkeepers, then by dogs in cages (to discover ambushes and thiefes), but none of both had worked...
The hall in the west, with these pillars on both sides of the way is my First Hall, which got an own point of Interest... - Daryan
Δ 15. Housing site
The housing-tower with 24 apartments per level.
I found this design to be very useful for 17x17, which is the size of about all my halls. - Daryan
Δ 14. Great Hall
The Great Hall of Ancienthalls.
It has enough room for all my dwarves, shops and a royal dining room in the south-east corner. - Daryan
Δ 14. Outdoor-farming
Here i wanted to try some outdoor-farming, but i realized soon that this is impossible to do on muddy stone floor.
Maybe i'll build a glassroof over it, but i don't know if that would change something. - Daryan
Δ 14. The first Hall
First i wanted to settle there my soldiers, as door-keepers. But i was forced soon to withdraw them behind the protective Chasm, for they were under a steady attack from ambushers and my casualties grew higher and higher... - Daryan
Δ 14. The great chasm of Ancienthalls
Actually the great Chasm of Khazad-Dum, as it was inspired from there....
It is my favourite defence against the hordes of goblins out there. Full automatically with some pressure-plates against sieges and even against concealed ambushes and things like a broze-collosus.
Before the goblins make it to the other side the bridge is tilt up an my dwarfes can collect the smashed corpses on the floor deep down in the chasm... - Daryan
Δ 14. Throne Hall
The great throne-room of Ancienthalls. I started to dig it out as soon as the Queen arrived, but the dwarves were too slow and the Queen went insane...
Now there only live all the other nobles. - Daryan
Δ 11. Farming
This farm produces enough plants to fill more than 2 stores, full of plants of every description...
It is watered with a pump, beside the river.

This is where my smelters and forges are situated.
Named after the flaming Deeps in the greatest Dwarf-fortress Khazad-dum, or the better known name, that the elves gave it: Moria...
