Boardwhip - 352 Early Spring by crash2455

Map Description:

Well, goblins killed everyone except my champions and mayor. The only migrants have been nobles. I suppose it's only fair. After I dammed the river, I pretty much ran out of ideas. I'm just gonna see how damn long this fortress can last on one real dwarf.

I abandoned and checked the world history. Apparently my kingdom was destroyed in the year 322. A king and a mayor are still present in my civ screen, though the mayor does not belong to my fort. Their names have not changed for at least 15 years.

Final Stats (the farmer is my mayor):

Woah...your dwarves don't have mouths. Did you take that tag of in the raws or something? :P

They also don't have beards.

It's just my tileset, Yayo's C64 tileset. I decided to use that one for its absurdly small resolution so it was easier to see large constructions.

This fortress is amazing.

Have you had any dwarves die of old age so far? Considering that your average dwarf lives for four hundred years, a few of yours may be old enough to die from natural causes within a fifty-year span.

Also, any idea how goblins managed to kill half the entire fortress population without harming your champions?

It's pretty simple, really. Nobles used to be the leading cause of dwarf death (at about 5 a day), but then I permanently fixed that.

When I implemented the cage traps, I started losing a lot of dwarves again and I realized it was because a dwarf would run outside to reload a trap and get shot to death, so I put some walls to slow that.

Now, because of the framerate crunch, I'm telling the dwarves to dump everything and, unfortunately, everything just happens to be outside, so they get caught in ambushes. My main problem is that no new migrants are coming.

My biggest nightmare is the day that my champions start dying of old age.

Sick fort man. I love long lasting forts.

Alright, had to reformat and thought I backed this up. Boardwhip as it stands on this map is no more.

Sadness. I guess I'll have to start a new crazy long lasting fort.
