Start of the fortress's second year. Basic facilitys are still being dug out and built. Food is running a little tight.
The HTML5 map viewer is currently in Alpha mode - I'm actively trying to develop new functionality.
There should be many very obvious problems with the viewer; please check
the
Issues page to notify or comment on the most egregious problems to help
me prioritise. The most common will be Loading... with an error
in the browser developer tools console. e.g. RangeError: Offset is
outside the bounds of the DataView
. Feel free to
report a problem
with a link to the problematic map or point of interest.

You can download the compressed map file:
2009-07/rwindmtg-local_map-1-1061-111.fdf-map
but you will need the .NET version of
SL's DF Map Compressor
to convert to the .PNG image format.

I started with the 3d version, I decided to give the 2d version a spin for the fun of it.

Amazing how different the game is now. I remember even with just the 2d version I only bothered to go for magma or past it on several occasions. Now, the possibilities are endless.
