Cave lake penetrating appeared to be harder than expected.
Ettin came, and sits in a cage now.
Forgotten beast came (Giant hairy lizard with wings, breathing paralysing dust), killed a couple of cats and a dyer. Military hanled it, but tantrums started!!! Yay for a tantrum spiral! Every 5-6 days someone goes insane...
( 1055 Early Spring → onwards )
There's a Cook underneath that red down arrow. He Prepares lavish meal from Forgotten beasts eyes (2 of them), lungs (20), brain (2) and meat (122).

Very nice. I am going to build a spiral downwards in my fort too, so I'm faving this for further reference.
One question though, is it wide enough for caravans to move down?

Dwarves can move mountains. A small underground lake like that shouldn't be a problem :3

I shouldn't have complained about madness every 5-6 days. It's been 3 days into new year and 7 new madmen already...
