Pumping magma with wooden pumps doesn't work very well.
Green glass screws and tubes, however, have been shown to work quite nicely, and you appear to have white sand available.

I'd heard that wood worked fine provided that the lava doesn't touch the back of the pump (obviously not!).
What's odd, though, is that I have other pumps on the map set up to pump magma that, until recently, pumped without complaint. I think maybe if the rate of magma being pumped is too high it burns wood pumps.
It would be helpful if you made your window a bit smaller while recording movies. Not everyone has a resolution of 99999999999x9999999999 pixels.
And like Quietust and Harvick mentioned, wooden pumps have a high chance of failing, though I don't know what determines it. If you have magma and sand, though, you might as well make them out of green glass anyway.
Maybe it depends on which parts of the pump are wooden (the blocks, pipe section or corkscrew)
