Machine that uses pumps and pressure plates to raise a bunch of spikes up and down, killing anything that gets caught in them.
Things to improve:
Use only masterwork mechanisms to link the spikes so they raise and lower quickly.
Use more spikes per trap. Currently there is only one spike per square, as a test. With 10 there would be a total of 360 spikes

mechanism quality doesn't effect operation speed for any mechanical device, however, it does improve the quality of the attack if the mechanism is used in a weapon trap (and possibly spike traps)
normal/superior/masterpeice quality are all the same speed of triggering
masterpeice will be more likely to hit and to do more damage then normal quality

I assume this is what had been attempted in Syrupleaf, only for "Mother"/"Your Grace" to order it demolished after it ran out of power.
