I finally caught the giant toad...
I sent an army of haulers to dump stone and they lured it through the traps. It killed two dogs in the process, and sent pretty much every dwarf in the fortress running and screaming for their mummy. I should really sort out the military now...

I think you should tame it (optional) and dump it into a pit. Then make a shrine to it. With plenty of water of course.
