Map Description:

This is not a Dwarf Fortress. Oh no.
This is the Kobold Camp of Kabus, populated by the little hunter-gatherer thieves.

Point of Interest: The Burrows

Traditionally, Kobolds live in these.
However, the wise woodcutter remarked that wooden towers would be far better, athough he conceded to allow Slulumus the miner to connect the towers with tunnels and caves. - Maggarg

I used the mouse to designate for the first time here. It's an incredibly useful tool, and I already love it.
Kobolds are far more fragile than your average stone-skinned dwarf, and they often die when wolves attack.
What's even cooler is the "bug" where immigrants come with any labour. It certainly makes the individual Kobold more important when every pair of paws matters, and immigrations are helpful, not a hindrance.
I'm currently waiting for an engineer.

Δ 17. The Woodcutter's Tower.
The highest point in the flat prarie-by-forest, the wise Woodcutter dwells here, looking out of holes in the wall. - Maggarg
Δ 16. Ponceius the Musketeer
This little fellow thinks he is a musketeer, and wears a cape and floppy hat.
He fashioned his copper sword into a rapier, and became the best soldier in the camp.
It's a shame no-one knows how to make a musket. - Maggarg
Δ 15. Kabus
This was the place where the Kobolds found an old human wagon and decided to settle in the early spring of 411. They called this place Kabus, which has no direct translation in any language, coming out as "A Place of Safety near a Brook"
A ramshackle wooden building soon sprung up, housing about fifteen kobolds and their leader, a woodcutter almost as strong as a man. - Maggarg
Δ 15. The Bestial Tower
The kennels were built here, along with beds for another 15 or so Kobolds.
It also handles the bowmaking, although their only bowyer died a year ago, and they must wait for another to arrive from distant lands. - Maggarg
Δ 15. The Fisheries
The bulk of kabus' food is fish.
Over 300 fish are stored dry in barrels, and another fifty or so are still raw. - Maggarg
Δ 15. The Lake
A lake dug out by Slulmus the miner for the purpose of fishing or swimming in.
He forgot that Kobolds can't swim and there aren't any mechanics. - Maggarg
Δ 15. The Long House
The newest addition to Kagus, this tower was based on a dwarvish hall infiltrated by a recent immigrant to this place.
The Woodcutter approved, and it is almost finished.
It may even have three full floors! - Maggarg
Δ 15. Tleelmus Wolffear
Tleelus was once a lowly crafter, and the elders decided to send him out with the battered copper sword that had served all other hunters to hunt.
They expected him to kill a few raccoons and die in a season, like 6 out of the 7 previous hunters.
However, the little crafter managed to take on a pack of seven wolves, slaying four and wounding two, the other cowering from the broken kobold.
The resident Swordmaster, a rather camp fellow with a feathered hat, minced out and ran the remaining woves through, hauling brave Tleelmus back to recover.
Because of this, he is known as Wolffear. - Maggarg
