Aledevils - 104 Mid Winter by LegoLord

Map Description:

This is a fortress made using the Dark Dwarves mod as an example of what kinds of things can be done to really get a good feel for the mod, instead of falling into the usual dwarf routine.

Point of Interest: Lower Sacrificial pit

This pit is just above the trade depot. Cages holding captured foes can be placed in it with Large Cave Spiders, which I have found are quite effective in getting a lot of chunks. You can get enough chunks for about 10 soulstones from just one non-dark dwarf if you lock it in a room with 2-3 Large Cave Spiders. The trap you see there as a single barbed darksteel flayer. - LegoLord

Δ 26. Future Plans
Somewhere up above the battlefield will be a glass-bottomed statue garden from which civilians will be able to watch sieges. Once the underground pool is found, the exotic critters from within will have their own place made for helping with the cause of extracting chunks from sentient creatures. - LegoLord
Δ 26. The Ice Temple to the Founder's .
This is the top floor to the temple to the Founding seven's deities. The hatch, door, and walls are rutile and pitchblende (uranium ores), respectively. The windows are purple spinal and tanzanite. You can see the High priest there, walking from the lever that opens the hatch for sacrificing Dark Dwarves (it needs work). The floors are made of ice. - LegoLord

This battlefield replaces the narrow trap-filled corridor found in most non-dark dwarven fortresses. This still has traps, but it is wide open, the traps sparse, and made with every intention of facing the enemy head-on with magic darksteel weapons. - LegoLord
Δ 14. Silk farms

Thanks to the deep elves, we have access to every type of silk. This area will be a gathering point for tame cave and phantom spiders, as well as a chamber for taunting GCS and LCS into firing their webs. - LegoLord

Giant, excessively lavish nobles' quarters. The mod is getting to me. - LegoLord
