Daggerboot - 109 Early Spring by Nilus

Map Description:

It's been a good couple of years, I've gotten lots done and I really enjoy this fortress.
I'm going to focus on finishing the entrance for the next update.

Point of Interest: The Obsidian Protector - Finished!

( 109 Early Spring → onwards )

Finally finished! And it looks a lot better then I thought it would.
You can't see it here but I made the eyes out of Realgar to make him look intimidating. - Nilus

I like how you built the map so spacious and on the same level too.
I never have the patience to wait for my dwarfs to create large halls, so I think this is pretty neat :)

How are the travel times, though?

The fortress looks larger then it is due to my 16x16 tileset, haul times are quite low and everything is close so it's quite an efficient fort.

Woaaah... if you move forward a spot to see the red eyes it looks incredibly scary. Fantastic.

I've reached the limit on what I can do with this fortress, there's just not enough space and it's becoming more and more of a mess.

I like your use of olored floors in the barracks, it is a nice touch

Do you only see a blank space?

You can download the compressed map file: 2009-05/nilus-Daggerboot-region1-109-71.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
