Year 2 of Construction
This year we have used up another tower floor worth of stone and converted it to blocks. The current effort is focused towards completing the external walls so that the dwarves are capable of at least defeating the average siege, although it is unlikely at forecast population levels.
I chose to hollow out that floor as it is the planned level of the main tower cap farm.
Next year I plan to scale back on the farming operations. Our current supply of food and drink is probably more suitable for 100 dwarves rather than just 8. That way, more labour can be directed towards construction.
Built Block Count: 321
The Challenge: Construct a mega fortress without immigrants!
I didn't notice the goblins until they were already dead. I thought they were goats at first. We definitely need more traps. - Jong89

Here are the modest accommodations of the dwarves. It will probably be a long time before we start work on the living spaces of the fortress. - Jong89
