Behold, the mighty Magma Dam of Sinkfurnace!

Point of Interest: Overview of Dam

This is the dam network for Sinkfurnace. It consists of two layers of wall, separated by an open-air gap. Pulling a lever allows magma to be channeled between the walls, forming obsidian on the level below the air-gap. This obsidian wall now allows the dammed part of the cavern to be drained.

Water wheels power the pump system, artificial flow is created by partially draining the cavern into a channel that flows off the map via fortifications. - Rockx
