I dug too deep, I wasn't overwhelmed, everything was still sealed well enough, but the FPS was just too low to continue. RIP, Gilddesert, the biggest, most longest lasting fort I've ever made.
This area accidentally got flooded when the brook unfroze a couple of years back, you can see the repair on the wall near the yellow statue. I wanted to try out a labyrinth type design, see how it looked. There was originally supposed to be a well for the military, concluding in the prisoner disposal room, with a reservoir renewed from the brook each summer, but even with a roof over it, the borehole still froze up in winter.
This is also where the dead were stored before I switched to housing them in the caverns. I think most of these were from one forgotten beast attack. - Visi
