Kilrudmokez 'Bronzecage' - 1089 Early Spring by Peter Horner

Map Description:

Massive 6x3 Fortress, 50 years old, 1,5 RL years work, many sights and megaprojects

Point of Interest: Megaproject 2a: Main Concourse

Well, it is debatable whether this is a megaproject at all. But since I plan to list all major constructions more or less in the sequence they were initiated here it is:
A few level belowground the main Concourse runs all along the inner face of the ringwall. It connects all towers and the 3 central rows of it are paved in gold. The outer part of the concourse itself is roofed over a few levels higher by natural stone. The inner part sports columns reaching from the floor of the void up to higher than the ringwall. These colums are fluted and each column has a 'candelabra' on top, holding a large gem in the center and a golden statue on each arm. Seen from afar you would see the ringwall, tower rising above it - and then slender columns reaching towards the sky, glittering of gold and gems.

One the western side 'tongues' of stone extend into the central void - these house the dining 'rooms'...see next PoI. - TanSerrai

I did a quick count up, and I suspect this was the 10,000th map uploaded to this website. Congrats!

You can download the compressed map file: 2011-12/peterhorner-Bronzecage-region1-1089-2123.fdf-map but you will need the .NET version of SL's DF Map Compressor to convert to the .PNG image format.
