Life just got interesting. Stories in the POIs.
Around this time, it was decided that this fortress needed a proper dining hall. Crossfountains and Tun had some conversations about this, occasionally excited ones. They both seemed to agree that a circular layout was preferable, and couldn't agree much after that. So they started digging out a circular room, when screams were heard above. "It's a werebear!"
A werebear? By my beard! And no armor or weapons! We all ran inside, but sadly Reg, our bookkeeper was a little too slow and the beast tore him apart. I tried to shoot the beast with a bone crossbow, but even then it was too late.
We dug out a simple crypt and put together some coffins and slabs. We appointed a new bookkeeper, Zasit Brassfondled, from among the most recent migrants. Life goes on. The werebear ran after finishing its kill, hasn't been seen since, thankfully. Hopefully we'll be better prepared next time. - Tharis

I'm thinking of a big dome. And some towers. And some first person narratives.

Huh?
Oh, you mean "pig iron" instead of "iron." Ha ha.
