• ¶ 131. The Grand Dome
  The grand dome, still just as finished as it was last year, but this year with an extra addition of a central staircase. The legendary power of the dome makes all of my companions much happier, especially since we've been spending the better part of a decade eating in a peaty hole in the ground.

• Δ 29. The Hub
  Positioned at the top of the staircase in the central dome is my home, an obsidian, kimberlite and aluminum platform that looks over the rest of the dome. The lever at the center is the lockdown lever, which not only can shut down the entrance, but also seal several doors and bridges, locking down the fortress in case of attack. Most of the furniture I made myself, with the exception of the bed, and the gem window behind it, which contain three clear diamonds I bought with one of my mechanisms.

• Δ 28. The Lever room (WIP)
  One story down from my home is the lever room, which currently houses the lever to deactivate the entrance and flood it, while the one outside the fortress is scheduled to be removed. It will also contain most of the fort's defensive measures, such as flood control doors, and retractable bridges. It should have all the functionality of the lever one story up, but with much more control.

• Δ 23. Central stairs
  Currently only good for allowing me access to my room, these staircases can, if need be, be expanded so as to allow for an extra dining level, if we ever start getting migrants.

• Δ 22. Food processing room
  This vermin proof room contains our still, our kitchen, and our plant processing workshop. Eventually, the floor above this room, which has also been vermin proofed, will be where the raw plants go before cooking or processing, but for now, we merely take them from the room right across from the underground farm.

• Δ 22. Married home
  This grand bedroom (We're aiming for royal) belongs to my good friends, Kogan Kesdodok (miner), and his wife, Varbok Oltarmeb (farmer.). Both of them are legendary at what they do, and they were the first couple to be married at Soakstakes. Their home was the first to be built, made much like the dome completely out of obsidian, except for the two western clear glass windows, and the gem window to the north. They're very happy with it, and continue to provide the fortress with food and rocks.

• Δ 22. Unfinished building
  This mostly wood building is being designed to house soft craftshops, such as looms, tailors, and dyers. Basically anything that doesn't involve rocks or fire will one day be housed in this building. However, we stopped building in order to gather more materials, and leave our old hole in the ground.

• Δ 20. Power plants
  I can't believe I forgot to mention these last time. These are the two windmill farms that power Soakstakes, WMP01, and WMP02. I know they don't have very good names, but we built them in a hurry. The northern plant powers the entrance, and has an output of 680 units of power. The second plant was built initially to pump water out around the base of the great dome's stem, and has an output of 240 units. However, since we decomissioned the pumps, it's only task now is to spin fruitlessly until we couple a machine up to the gearbox in the bottom of the dome, as well as power our well.

• Δ 20. Trade Depot
  Again, this was here last year, but I forgot to touch on it. This depot is extremely temporary. We built it in 209, so as to get a shipment of pearlash, and now trade regularly with the outside. But this position is difficult to defend, so once everything is set up, we will move the depot to a new, easier to secure location inside... - Cypress
• Δ 19. The Hole
  Currently empty, save for the rooms of our fellow dwarves who have not yet had their houses constructed, and a few spare things we haven't stockpiled yet in the Piles below. When we leave, I plan on leaving behind the doors, and perhaps any unused beds, and keep it as spare space. It would be too much trouble to collapse, for certain.

• Δ 18. Lockdown 1
  This series of POI will show exactly what happens when the Lockdown lever is pulled.
  The first thing to occur is that the entrance pumps will shut off, and the doors will open, pouring the sea into the entrance. It will stop at the floor hatches one level down, or in the aquifer three levels down, depending, but either way it will not flood the rest of the fortress.

• Δ 16. Future Trade Depot
  ...To here! This place was originally hollowed out like this to allow for wagons to pass through, with the hope that we'd construct our trade depot underground. However, before we do that, we need to move the workshops that are here elsewhere, probably up onto the unfinished building.

• Δ 16. Lockdown 2 (WIP)
  This bridge, usually operated by the two levers closest to it, will go up. In addition, the door closest to the bridge, which will be controlled by a lever, will slam shut, sealing off the stem and the dome from the entrance.

• Δ 16. Lockdown 3 (WIP)
  There will be a bridge constructed where there are now floors, a draw bridge that swings up to the west. When it swings up, it will reveal a hollowed out aquifer, providing a moat to the fortress, as well as giving any marksdwarves a shooting gallery - Cypress
• Δ 16. Lockdown 4 (WIP)
  This lockdown component allows dwarves who were trading, or trapped in the central hallway during an invasion to escape. The two inner doors of this airlock will slam shut, but on the wall outside, closest to the trade depot, there will be a lever that opens the south inner doors. There will also be a lever on the inside of the airlock to close them. Then, a lever both on the outside and the inside will unlock the north doors, allowing dwarves access to the great cavern, where weapons and food will be stockpiled, as well as mining picks (Which are better than weapons, really.) - Cypress
• Δ 13. The Great Cave, & Piles
  Four masonry shops, the southmost one only I use. One forge, and one mechanics shop, and a giant cave to provide us with all of the obsidian we need. This is where we convert earth into city. And since clearing the obsidian leaves a giant cavern, we've taken to putting all of the stockpiles from in the Hole down here, into the Piles.
  It works, for now.
