Bizzare. If there weren't several of them I'd wonder if they were just legendary beasts...

So what exactly's happening here that shouldn't be?

I'm digging that digging layout of yours.

Where on earth did you get so many bears...? Last time I tried breeding them my fortress tantrum-spiralled long before I could get an appreciable number.

Little reveal there...

Temperature-less magma might not BURN you but you can still drown in it :)

Very creative!

Finally! I can display my maps properly. The new compressor built this map in 10 seconds(the files were probably cached in memory from previous tries, it'll be slower direct from disk) without needing to allocate hundreds of megs of memory at once.

Oh, and:

3) The map is rotated 90 degrees, hence why my magma pumping station looks so exploded and garbled.

Please note the following problems with my new map encoder:

1) Reversed colors, BGR instead of RGB. Magma is blue!
2) All the tiles are upside down!

Those are obvious enough things to fix however, and I'm pleased to have got the format right at least.

Yes, that garbage outside is not an artifact. This was a reclaim. There's still pants on the mountaintop last I checked.
